REALLY.....WHAT do you THINK would have happened if we had just let ALL the banks fail??? I think there would have been some hardship and that the banks that didn't do a bunch of stupid crap would have filled the vacuum and life would have gone on with a stronger financial system. Along with Ford, GM and Chrysler? GM and Chrysler are going to die anyway. And maybe if those three companies would have died it would have helped to put a nail in the coffin of the UAW which killed those companies anyway. And then new and innovative companies could have filled that vacuum. What makes you think that Obama wants to get control of the financial industry? If he wanted to do that he could have just "nationalized" the banks. Obama has already started down that path. What makes you think that a president who can dictate the compensation of the executives in an industry ISN'T trying to control that industry?
