The press has had the issue of Public Option on the front burner for a while. What they have not discussed and what the Democrats have successfully circumvented is what the Republics are asking, which is tort reforms and modifying the laws to allow insurance companies to do business across state lines. These issues have some merit I think. Would you happen to know why the Democrats and the press have not discussed these issues.

When Washington business resumes, Obama will be called upon to demonstrate his leadership skills on the lines of Ted Kennedy.

An area that he may have to put off is the "redistribution of wealth" that he likes to call it. To pay for healthcare, he should look into increasing taxes on all and not just the rich. If he does so, then it is likely he may get some support from the likes of Sen. Snow etc.

Interested to see the bargaining chips of the Obama camp.
