I think we need a constitutional amendment.

one of the things that we are learning is that our enemies AND current leftist government are using our values and laws against us.

Our enemies literally hacked the heads off of our citizens and soldiers. And yet the world is up in arms about the use of enhanced interrogation techniques...or...torture.

I dislike the idea of using torture for any reason. I also dislike root canals, but I've had to get a couple because they were necessary.

If someone kidnapped my son and someone knew where my son was, I wouldn't hesitate to torture them to find out where he was.

How many parents would say that they wouldn't? So that means there are exceptions to the "never torture" rule.

But, in spite of the fact that the torture garnered information that potentially saved thousands of lives, our current administration wants to prosecute the very people who saved those lives. We need to protect the people who protect us.

So...to the amendment.....it's the "Golden Rule" amendment.

here it is:
"The United States reserves the right to use the same or similar tactics against its enemies as its enemies use against the United States."

This could be modified to accommodate international financial relations too. Such as "If a country imposes tariffs against the United States, the United States will impose like tariffs against that country."

It's time that we stated explicitly that our efforts to protect the rights of our citizens is not an invitation to use those efforts against us.
