What possible conditions could cause the encoding of information in chemical bonds?

------------------
BTW, what ARE you positing?

That a force outside the material world (God) designed and caused the existence of life in a universe designed for that purpose. Methodology unknown. That the process of the development of life was planned and guided until life possessing consciousness was attained and that none this happened accidentally. Again, the method is unknown.
-----------------
yet if you're talking about a new 'spirit' coming to life (or even a recycled one) then it COULD be construed as that.

I could but a 'spirit" is outside of science and its not certain a 'spirit' applies to things like bacteria.
-------------------
Well, that's just a matter of definitions... one could use the term "of the devine" then.

Caused by divinity, I suppose I'd say.

+Spontaneous generations" -<Life arising accidentally from non-living elements.>

I think your use of "accidental" is philisophical rather than scientific:

I think the term accidental is both.
