I don't think Rahm "dead fish" Emmanuel forgot that the supposed Blue Dog democrats were in centrist districts. The problem seems to be Obama who thinks he can bully anyone into doing his bidding. The members "representing" centrist districts have to choose between reelection and socialism. Most of them are more interested in staying power than being powerful for a few moments then going down for Obama. Just look at Santorum who switched parties rather than risk losing the primary.
