The lake is Clear Lake, on OR 126, between Sweet Home and Sisters. The lake is very deep and very clear - over 100' visibility. en.wikipedia.org The lava field is on top of McKenzie Pass, on OR 242. The pass is only open a few months of the year. en.wikipedia.org
