Bringing good news is more easily done via cyberspace these days than by physically moving tonnage of people and machinery to deliver the news: <Gore told the conference he was bringing “good news” from the U.S.: that President Obama had secured billions of dollars for renewable energy work.>

Perhaps Al Gore hasn't heard of the internet. President Obama could just type it into the White House website and everyone could see the news and hear it too via text to voice. Or Obama could make a speech about it right there on the website.

Look at this ... click 'submit' and hey presto, the news is around the world before Al Gore has had his first cocktail. It's right now a completely blue sky, the sun is nearing the horizon, spring has arrived on schedule. I don't need to attend a conference at the cost of $thousands to "bring the good news" about how nice the weather is here right now.
