Pathetic. I can understand living like that in Mexico or Brazil where the rich are kidnapped by the druggies/bad guys for money but in suburban Tampa.....give me a break. Yeah it's nuts. It's not like people can't get through the gates or over the walls, so it's false security. My doors are NEVER locked... except when we go on vacation. Never been robbed (knock on wood). Our worst crimes are vandalism... and that's the local kids, what's the point of locking the little bastards in?
