Few intelligent people doubt that the supplies of oil in ground
and above ground are steadily decreasing. This is called Peak
Oil. Yet oil does not seem to be rapidly increasing in price.
I submit that quite possibly all the energy conservation, renewable energy boom,
natural gas discoveries, etc. are decreasing the need for
oil. I'm wondering if wind energy, solar energy, geothermal, jatropha,
Brazilian sugar cane etc. will increase so rapidly that the oil price will
take a very long time to rise. None of the public predictions say this;
so maybe it's the truth. I have no definite opinion here. What
do some other people think?
