>>>"I don't consider homosexuality to be deviant behavior. You do."

I didn't say anything about homosexuality, you raised a concern about the tribal leaders taking boys as concubines. I assumed you were referring to the accounts of brutal pedophile behavior.

I was referring to the brutal criminal nature of the warlord leaders. The reports are that the young boys you referred to were taken from villages and often forceably raped.

You claimed it is an hypocrisy of the Afghan culture. The culture did not condone it. The culture was outraged by it which resulted in their support of the Taleban which was the only recourse they had to end it.

"Its common for Arabs to consider homosexual activity as criminal behavior while the leadership and upper classes country freely partake in such behavior. I don't know about you but I call that hypocrisy."

True it is common for Arabs to consider homosexual activity as criminal behavior, but they do not condone it for people in the upper class so there is no hypocrisy. If people in the upper class condemn it for others while engaging in homosexuality themselves, it is probably an exception, but those individuals are hypocrites (al la Rep Foley)not the culture. Your comment is bigoted.
