Not hardly. Unlike your cutesy editing job, history backs what I posted. Take the financial industry. Since Reagan, it has been as close to unregulated as any industry. It grew from being a small segment of the economy, to the largest. Its employees went from below average wages, to the highest paid in the country. And it appears as if most of the 'wealth' created before it almost brought down the world economy was totally bogus.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of Libertarianism or deregulation.

On the other hand, Liberal governments have been the hallmark of the most progressive countries to have ever graced this planet. They have been responsible for most of the technological and social advancements that we enjoy.

Deal with it.
