What do you call CDS whose value exceeds the world's GDP? How can that be anything but bogus? Or a housing market which values homes at a price well beyond what can be afforded by most people? What do you call all of those MBS that packaged sub-prime mortgages, yet given the highest ratings? Remember when Milken packaged all those junk bonds and sold them to retirees as high quality bonds resulting in hundreds of billions of losses? You seem to have a very selective memory.
