VANCOUVER, Sept. 4 /CNW/ - The Company reports that it has now received and compiled exploration results from the portion of the program completed prior to the onset of the rainy season.

Phase I efforts concentrated on a small part of one of three potential porphyry centers with gold-copper skarn and granite-hosted mineralization contained within the 18,175 hectare property. At the central Fafy-Yori target, an IP geophysical survey expanded a previously identified, strong chargeability anomaly which continues to be open in all directions, and now covers an area 2 1/2 kilometers by 3 kilometers. Fourteen Reverse Circulation drill holes totaling approximately 3,000 meters of drilling were centered on an area of approximately 800 meters in diameter and were restricted to drill locations adjacent to existing roads that were accessible and not affected by flooding. Management is pleased to report that initial drill results have intersected the outer shell of the large Fafy-Yori porphyry system. All holes returned anomalous silver and copper + zinc and molybdenum content within broad intervals of alteration and disseminated pyrite. Within the halo, silver content ranged to 20.4 g/t over 1.5 meters and copper to 0.54% over 4.5 meters with the broadest intercept being 205.7 meters of 0.35 g/t silver and 0.03% copper.

Phase I exploration also included regional prospecting and geological mapping which discovered new mineralized areas. Highlights include outlining a mineralized skarn over 1 1/2 kilometers of strike length at La Kala, the northern most porphyry target. Outside of the three main porphyry target areas, grab samples from newly discovered mineralization assayed gold ranging to 1.1 g/t and silver ranging to 54.3 g/t. These results prompted the staking of an addition mineral concession of 3,330 hectares by the Company.

Approximately 90% of the Yori-Fafy IP target lies under young volcanic cover and remains undrilled. The expanded IP survey grid area was also covered by a Soil Gas Hydrocarbon (SGH) survey interpreted by Activation Laboratories Ltd., Ancaster, Ontario to have three separate high priority gold anomalous targets. These two methods in combination with the drill results will guide Phase II drilling in the volcanic covered areas. The exploration program is scheduled to resume in October 2009 and will include diamond core drilling and further IP and SGH surveys and geological mapping.

Bruce Ballantyne, Project Manager stated, "We are making great progress in uncovering the district-scale porphyry potential on the Property. The broad intersections of mineralization and alteration encountered in these shallow R.C. holes are consistent with halos found in large, classic porphyry deposits world-wide."

The program was conducted by geotechnical staff of Minconsult Exploration Services Ltd., Vernon, British Columbia and supervised by P.Geos., Stuart Fraser and Chris Gallagher and professional Mexican geologist Rafael Gallardo. In compliance with NI 43-101 all rock and RC drill samples were collected at the drill site by Sonora Samples Preparations (SSP) S.A. de C.V., and securely delivered to their preparation facility in Hermosillo, Sonora, where they were crushed and ground according to the ACME Laboratories protocol R150. After splitting the pulp, SSP shipped approximately 150 grams per sample via International Courier to ACME Analytical Laboratories Ltd., Vancouver, B.C. A 15 gram subsample from each pulp was analyzed by a 58 element wet geochemical ultratrace ICP-MS procedure (ACME Code IF05). Analytical and replicate samples were inserted into the sample stream by the Company and the laboratory to provide quality assurance. The sample intervals for the RC drilling were 1.52 meters and two bags of material weighing approximately 15 kilograms each were saved after sample splitting. One bag was collected by SSP at the drill site and the second bag is held in the Company's secure storage facility in Navajoa. SSP also shipped the soil samples to Activation Laboratories, Ancaster, Ontario where they were prepared and analyzed using Soil Gas Hydrocarbon protocols. The interpretation of the SGH results was presented to the Company by Actlabs in work order report A09-4040, August 26, 2009.

The foregoing disclosure has been reviewed and verified by director Glen C. Macdonald, P.Geo. a qualified person for the purpose of National Instrument 43-101, Standard of Disclosure for Mineral Projects.
