I could have sworn you attributed opposition to the general welfare. As in "seems some folks are against the 'general welfare'." Given that such attribution is a classic response in discussions on that topic and given your typing those precise words, it seemed I was on pretty firm ground.

Perhaps I missed some nuance or you left out a needed emoticon...

I was just pointing out that it didn't exclude my views on health care.

I tracked quite a ways back and didn't see your views on healthcare expressed so I can't comment on that.

As for the Constitution and "promote the general welfare," I think that can be reasonably argued either way.
