There's an easy market solution: <However, as I'm sure you are aware many scientists are in disagreement on this subject with ones on the other end of the scale predicting rapidly rising levels in a relatively short time period. >>

Those who believe Global Warming is a terrible problem leading to sea level rise can sell properties in the flood zone now. Those who don't believe Global Warming is a problem can buy the coastal properties and enjoy nice ocean views, convenient swimming and easy access to wharves from their low-lying factories.

I'm not interested in low-lying properties but it's because of tsunamis, not warming air.

There is a similar market solution for living in Taupo. Those who think it's not a problem can build a house in the beautiful scenery and give their children crash helmets to keep them safe. I can stay well clear, cringing far from the pumice eruptions and way up high clear of tsunamis.

If you come to NZ, you aren't allowed to bring a gun. The thugs are allowed to attack with impunity. But don't worry, the police "solve" most major crimes so if you survive, you'll be able to see the criminals get told off in court and asked not to do it again. You'll also have the option of attending a restorative justice meeting where the criminals get to leer in your face again. Crime burgeoned while Helen Clark reigned [including within her government employees such as Philip Field her speeding dangerously, drunken driving by ministers, theft of public funds by the Labour Party as well as normal pigs in the trough plundering of the public purse]

But don't think it's too bad here. Lots of tourists are not attacked. Just the other day, there were some more visitors who returned home more or less unscathed. Hmmm, now that I use the word, I don't know what scathed means. People are always unscathed, not scathed.
