Thank you for responding last night . I respect your opinion on INTEL very much on the technical issues that have a dramatic impact on INTEL's business model and earning's performance . As JULES and yourself explain the other night about the impact of the DEC plant aquisition and the settlement issue with DEC I agree with most of the facts . I do not believe the DEC issue will have much impact upon 1998 earnings due to the three to six months for approval and the upgrades required to bring the plant up to INTEL standards .
The real issue in the post last night was not the gyrations of the stock but what is going to drive earning's in 1998 . I have been in INTEL stock since the down cycle of 1995-1996 and am use to the aboved . What I am also concern about is some of the other issues I posted last night . INTEL is normally a company that bases it decisions on logic and fact as you have told us so many times in the past . I am not interested in selling the stock but am looking for some answers on the recent mis-firings and what is going to grow the -bottomline - in 1998 .
As always your thoughts are appreciated

BEST WISHES
BILL

P.S. MARY did an outstanding job of explaining one of the issues that INTEL definetely need's to address
