Leigh,
The Government (Hart-Rodino Act) has cleared the merger already and the company's best guess is that it will close in mid-December or early January. FYI.....I found out that the UIH/Supercanal merger closed so quickly because of UIH's size. The selling of the UIH Argentine systems was only a small percentage of their total assets so a vote by shareholders was not needed. As for Tescorp, this merger is a buyout of the entire company, so a shareholder vote must be taken and this is why it will take a longer time to close.
