the explaination refered to (explaining to you) M's heirarchy and was NOT specific to Christianity

The thing is Maslow and the "animal instincts ... canabalism" comment came out in response to my mentioning the growth of Christianity in the third world. So that was the context it was raised in.

The context of Third world people and Catholic church WAS via the MUCH GREATER context of Maslows Heirachy:

I don't know what the Catholic church has to do with the overall subject, its not the primary source of Christian growth in the 3rd world. It seems to me you have conflicted issues with the Catholic church, but its not relevant to the issue - let's just talk about Christianity, okay? The RCC is just one part of Christendom.

Your statement above is yet ANOTHER ("let me count the ways" you project your thoughts on me) example of you jumping to conclusions based on YOUR thinking.
2.) Therefore we have the origional quote, which I (of course) stand by.
3.) I further stand by my assertion that YOU brought up racism, monkeys, and other things in relation to "third world".

Projection not necessary. The "animal instincts" was there in your words. When you use words like "animal instincts...canabalism" in reference to large hosts of people converting to a particular religion (we're talking hundreds of millions of people over a period of decades in many countries around the world from Latin America, to Africa, to south and east Asia), its inherently downputting and insulting to that host of people. Hard to get around that. And it is an appeal to insulting stereotypes about the 3rd world, whether those stereotypes are race-based or not, who knows? You want to say your comments aren't based on racist beliefs - fine. Regardless, insulting stereotypes are still insulting. And there's no reason for it.

You don't understand that the environment PEOPLE (or of course EVERY living thing) are in affect they way in which they function. That their "level of well being" (part of their environment) is important in their function/behaviour/etc. including, of course spirituality, but really ALL descisions affecting their lives...

Sure I understand that, but its still wrong to make massive stereotypical assumptions about masses of people in order to dismiss or belittle what they do as being of significance.
