I figured you were somewhere in the northeast, my grandmother now 95, will be 96 on halloween, is still @ home in southern illinois, I'm n southeast missouri and from St louis down to here the avg cost is ~3500./month I am a physician as u know and we looked at several in both states, we had her admitted this spring and my uncle, mom's younger brother 2 yrs older than me is her executor/POA, she asked him to let her go home and he did, he lives some 375miles away I live 47mis away- last weekend she says she's ready, not cooking for herself or taking her meds unless I or my eldest son drives up and prepares a meal and has her take her meds, 3 x/week...my mom will be here on thursday, flying in from San Fran, we'll do the placement again nearer to me- PS she "fired" the Visiting nurses a while back did not want them in her house..... now u know the rest of my story
