I could go for that (IP App for trading), but I can see a downside and increased expense for Datek. Instead of supporting just a few browsers and the occassional annoying newbie, you're supporting literally thousands of systems AND the increased expense of new development and support staff. Instead of giving it away to every Joe User, make this part of the "Datek Professional" system? Charge for the software and additional services? I would be willing to pay a reasonable amount.

This would be like Terence Wilson's StockWatch. A very useful program, but I think the hundreds of stupid support questions drove him crazy.

Then again, I do "maintenance and support" now, so I suppose my viewpoint is skewed. I get so tired of SUQs (Stupid User Questions, pronounced "SUCKS"). Just because my software is installed on your desktop, I don't think I should have to troubleshoot your printer, your modem, your word processor and your IP configuration.
