My friend Greg has been diagnosed with multiform glioblastoma. The same cancer that just killed Ted Kennedy. He was diagnosed at stage four. Prognosis: three months without treatment. Nine with. That was in May. He is being treated in a large Detroit area hospital. I'm making the hemp oil he is using. All of the starting materials come from donations from the marijuana community of Michigan. His doctors are fully aware that he is consuming 1000 mg of cannabinoids per day. This was posted on his blog tonight: Tuesday, September 8, 2009 6:30 PM, EDT MRI= Some good news. Finally! Some times it's the little things that get you through. In speaking with the doctor today Greg's tumor has gotten slightly smaller.. Yes SMALLER-you know the OPPOSITE of BIGGER! So while it is only a little bit it is good news. They confirmed that currently there are no other tumors. I was so shocked by the good news it took a minute to process the information. But once I did I was Perma grinned the rest of the day! We even celebrated with a dinner from Pita Cafe, one of Greg's favorite restaurant. We are hoping that Continued Care (Social Services) will do an evaluation tomorrow and help us with care after he gets home. But tonight, we just breath and enjoy the good news. Progression stopped. No metastalic spread from the surgery. And now the beginning of a possible reversal in the progression. May God protect him.
