Long Term Gas Down -- In the past two weeks, longer-term gas prices decreased 4.1%. The 2009 price is now at $3.88/MMbtu, the 2010 price is $5.41/MMbtu and the 2011 price is $6.42/MMbtu. This compares to our previous report's, $4.01/MMbtu for 2009, $5.7 4/MMbtu for 2010, $6.64/MMbtu for 2011; see page 16 for further details.
Market Heat Rates Slightly Up-- In the past two weeks, longer term market heat rates increased 0.26%. Current flat market rates are 7,763 btu/KWh for 2009, 7,235 btu/KWh for 2010, and 7,216 btu/KWh for 2011 . This compares to our previous report's 7,754 btu/KWh for 2009, 7,184 btu/KWh for 2010 and 7,219 btu/KWh for 2 011; see page 30.
