Little Joe;

When the government grows its intrusion into my life grows and my freedom diminishes. If that is not obvious to you, there is little I can say.

but don't you understand all those things I listed are intrusions into your life? Your logic is twisted; you say you are a libertarian and that as government grows it intruds into your freedoms, but those freedoms lost are all lost because of the beliefs of the party of smaller government. That's why I listed them

When there was but a few million people in America, what you did did not affect your neighbor. You didn't infringe on your neighbors freedom. As we got to be a country of many, laws and regulations and taxes you hate become increasing important for a society to work. I hate taxes too, but I hate the taxes I get nothing from - like nation building and playing policeman all over the world. I don't mind my money being spent on a road so I can move around efficiently or on research to develop a new drug so I can live to be 75 instead of 45. Instead of these mindless ideological debates where the two sides go to their respective corners, we would be a much better country to work together to combate inefficient taxes everywhere - but allow society to progress.
