"The Reagan tax increases come NOWHERE CLOSE to offsetting the consequences of his two big cuts -- ERTA and TRA86."

Not even vaguely true. The average tax burden on those affected the most by the tax increases, middle class and lower, went up as a result.

"It is not a coincidence that substantial tax cuts are always followed by a period of economic growth "

Not true. In the few cases where the tax cuts were counter-balanced by budget cuts, the economy went down.

Despite your attempts to ignore it.

"and substantial tax increases are always followed by an economic downturn. It never fails."

Link?

Or do you define "substantial" as "the economy went down" and "unsubstantial" as "the economy went up"?

That wouldn't surprise me. You seem to be very flexible with your "facts". Spinning them as needed to prop up your world view.
