Increase the screen resolution one more size

I increased the screen resolution one more size, and the font is at the level that I am used to.

However, the black 1.3 inch areas on both sides of the screen are back. The cursor can't go over the area, and it's as if there is a 1.3 inch black border on both sides of the screen. Any idea how to make this unreachable area go away?
