Hi Perry & all others on QDRX thread. I'm new here to SI and
have owned QDRX for about 4 weeks.

>>A Golfsmith store is opening the area and I think I'll try
to see what they know about the Quadrax product line <<

Before investing in QDRX I called the golfsmith 800 number
and talked to a sales person. The person I talked with
_loved_ the Quadrax shafts. He had just built a driver for
himself using the shaft and said that it was great. I asked
him how the shafts were selling and he looked on their
database and volunteered that they had sold 1700 of them with
less than 30 returns. (This was only the normal flex shaft).

I also did some searching around the net to find if any
golfers were talking about the shaft. Here's a couple of
things I found:

***From the golfsmith Chat line***

Rpatton asks: Tom - What is happening with the Thermo-plastic
shaft development? What about the iron shafts from this line?

Tom Wishon says, "Ralph - good question. The Quadrax people
are the leaders in the thermoplastic shaft area and they are
planning irons for 98. The also are planning a new 50"
long shaft for extra long driver assembly and they now have a
57g ultra light for use in woods as well. Have not heard
whether they have landed any big OEM companies yet, so
for now the thermoplastic shafts are largely a custom
clubmakers' item."

***And this off of rec.golf***

Don't know about the ProLite but the Quadrax turns this club
into a rocket launcher.
I am normally 240 off tee with the RCH96 shaft - consistently
270 with the Quadrax!!

***This was off the Golf.com Chat page:***

For the past two months we have been testing the P1230
and the P1220 in two head designs.A Callaway and
Cobra-both 200grams.We fitted them at 44" and SW D-0 to
D-8.The shafts feel different at impact and at top of
swing.Different than against dozen other composite
shafts. We were impressed so much by other golfers
responses that we now tell all our customers-best composite
on market.Strong,light.guaranteed and less shock
transmission.Quadrax claims tighter dispersion pattern-we
cannot test this claim-don't have Iron Byron.

Now, these three posts don't tell squat about where the stock
price of QDRX will be 12 months from now but at least I had a
better feel for the company's product.

The reason I even found out about QDRX is because of someone
I know who is playing with their shafts and loves them. I'm
such a poor golfer, I probably couldn't tell a good shaft
from a bad shaft so I can't be a judge.

There is no question that owning this company is a risky
proposition. (I think the stock price reflects that.) But
I'm willing to take that risk for a company that has real
products that have gotten good reviews by their target
audience.
