As Little Joe pointed out Bush being irresponsible doesn't justify Obama being irresponsible. In fact the larger deficits Bush had the less justification there is for Obama having large deficits, since the worse the fiscal situation is when Obama became president the more need there is for him to act in a fiscally responsible way.

Also the deficits under Obama are going to be significantly larger than those under Bush, or under any other president post WWII. If we're unlikely and we get a double dip on this recession the deficits might rival or even pass those of WWII. So your defense of Obama's deficit by reference to Bush's deficits is like a defense of a murder by reference to an assault, both in the sense that your trying to defend the greater problem by pointing out a smaller one, and in the sense that bad behavior by others doesn't normally excuse additional bad behavior.
