Imagine the US with 1.3 billion people .. far less resources, and a century of deprivation by foreign powers..

You could think of the US as the biggest lottery prize ever 'won' er.. well you know ;o) .. Hard to find a country with as much natural wealth overall.. and I guess the next 20 years will really tell the tale on how long that lottery win lasts.. or will it be squandered.. I wonder given the same circumstances .. would the US be much different ?

Just what I see..

BTW China government is looking to placate the people and enrich themselves.. like any government ... just that they know that the cost of failure is not a fat pension and lecture tour so I'm not looking for them to be economic leaders of the world.. that would only be a byproduct if it ever happened.. not a priority :O)
