So Obama is responsible for all the bad stuff that happened before he took office but Bush isn't responsible for the bad stuff that happened 9 months after he took office.

I don't think Obama is responsible for a damned thing that happened before he took office. Never claimed he was.

But you've tried to blame the mortgage problems on Bush economic policy and it simply isn't attributable to his policy.

For the most part the Bush economy was reasonably good considering what else was going on. And that is directly attributable to the Bush tax cuts (tax cuts have, in practically every case, improved the economy, and the Bush tax cuts were no different).

Bush made serious mistakes -- the Education bill, mishandling of the Iraq War, and many others. But he didn't allow our enemies to roll over us, he didn't weaken us and he didn't move us toward socialism. Obama has already done all of the above on a massive scale.

I don't believe Bush was the world's greatest president but I do believe he'll be remembered fondly by history -- IF Obama doesn't screw up the Iraq situation. The economic issues in the few months of his term were caused by liberal lending policies that Bush should have fought against, so he can bear some responsibility for that.
