CPQ SPLIT QUERY -
I read the following CPQ announcement recently - Oct. 16, 1997, Compaq Computer Corp. (CPQ) said its board approved the initiation of a
quarterly dividend of $0.03 per common share, payable Jan. 20, 1998, to shareholders of record Dec. 31, 1997. In addition, CPQ said its board approved a two-for-one stock split, subject to shareholder approval of an increase in the number of authorized common shares. CPQ said stockholder approval will be solicited by written consent of stockholders of record on Oct. 31, 1997. The company said following the stock split, the quarterly dividend would be $0.015 per common share. DOES ANYONE KNOW when the split, if approved, will likely take place? Anyone have any thoughts on November 65 calls? My buddy just bought 300 of them in the past two days based on some information he absolutly refused to talk about. He has in the past made a killing on CPQ & DELL (but who hasn't in the long sector, right?). Anyone have any ideas about the November strike date? |
