Faris,

I probably have not "earned" the right to comment on the activity on this thread. I have only been following it for about the last 1,500 posts. I am not a sophisticated investor, nor am I knowledgable about the oil industry or AIPN. I am, however, a businessman (sorry, Taxi, just an owner/COO, not a CEO) and I can seperate the real info from the bullsh, oops, almost messed up - cyber police you know. I follow this thread for two reasons, to learn and to have some fun. I very much respect the opinions of both the longs and the shorts. I use the information I learn in an attempt to make the best decisions (Ayn Rand is probably spinning in her grave).

I fear that because of the fun aspect of this thread, I have now been placed into the "idiot" and "patient" catagory. This is actually not the case. If you look a my previous posts, I have come out against the character assinations and nasty-grams. We should be able to take exception to other viewpoints without attacking personalities. My support of Taxi was a respose to requests that he "go away". I do not want to see anyone "go away". All should have the right to speak their mind within reason. I felt the "racist" issue was kind of blown out of proportion, but some might be more sensitive than me. I don't think it was serious enough to call in the cyber-police, but that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

As far as having some fun, I make the following observation: When I started following this thread, there was lots of info flying around and lots of anticipation. Non-subject posts seemed to be at a minimum. However, as hard info dwindled, it was replaced with more idle chat. This seems natural to me and it is not difficult or time consuming to just go past it if you are not interested. In the meantime, the idle, off topic chat is entertaining to me and others. I really don't care what the people at AOL think about us. I am sure that when we start hearing some breaking news, the posts will revert to the subject at hand.

So....Please do not leave the site. We all value your input and well researched information. Please do not interpret my comments to and about Taxi or anyone else as subjecting you to abuse. I have learned a great deal from you, and also from the many others that contribute to the thread. I read everything posted, and would sorely miss your presence. I, like Deer Hunter, will be really pissed off, if you are driven off the sit by people that not only do not contribute much (me included), but that resort to childish name calling and personal attacks (not me). Just ignore the bastar....oops.

By the way, you indicate that you want to know peoples "true identity". Mine is plainly posted in my bio. on this site. Not so with you??? I assure you I am not one of the "lunitic fringe"

I hope my vote counts for something.

best regards and good luck, whatever you decide to do.
