<<How much would it be if you were self employed or retired at age 50 or between jobs?>>

Of course i am referring to individual underwriting as above... I am not referring to a group plan...How could i be referring to a group plan when i said "self employed" or" between jobs.."

You said
<<It wouldn't cost anything. This is a group plan. The folks you mentioned aren't part of the group so they aren't eligible.>>

Exactly, not eligible in your group, what would they be paying at age 50 ? under individual underwriting age 64?? I would say that the increase would be substantial and much more than at age 50

And you said Age is not a factor. here

Age is a factor and don't fudge the facts.

Look at the legacy costs of GM.<maybe GM could move all of their retired workers to your plan and ...your words here quote ""For the record, the employee's monthly share of the premium on my insurance is $152.06 for singles and $356.59 for families. The only difference in premiums is single/family.Age is not a factor""

If your plan was to accept all of the aging GM workers into your plan, your premiums would sky rocket.

Age is a factor.
