The French example that is relevant is Paris traffic frozen annually when the government discusses reducing agricultural welfare.

I am entirely missing that alleged relevance.

American Doctors have proven that they will do what is in their own best interest when government makes their chosen way of life unrewarding.

I share your concerns about what would happen if medical care practitioners were nationalized. I just can't find a significant probability of that happening. I'm schooled in basic risk assessment and am a rational person so I tend to base my fears on the actual threat level, which is a function of not just the extent of deleterious effect but the probability of occurrence.
