Wow, can you believe the PE's of the DD sector?

P/E
---
WDC 9.6
SEG 23.3
QNTM 12.8
RDRT 10.6
APM 5.8
HTCH 11.8
HMTT 11.5

(Note: these are copied from Yahoo without checking
to see if their trailing EPS is accurate, which it
sometimes isn't)

I was lucky in that I shifted money out of WDC and
APM in August (though I've held QNTM), but these
PEs are mouth watering. These are at the low end of
their historical levels and indicate good opportunity,
unless you believe a price war is coming or serious
downtrend in sales. Although the global fluctuations
are worrisome, I can't forsee either of these
circumstances hitting too hard. PCs are just selling
too well and even Al Shugart has to buy a few holiday
gifts. I suppose I could worry about margin pressure
from box makers seeing their margins squeezed. Otherwise,
I believe there is too much 'gloom and doom' priced into
the current DD sector.

With the strongest period of the year upcoming for
these companies, I'm going to be a buyer. What do others
think? Have we hit the lows or will there be even
more kicking of a sector that is down?
