Oh, yes, Mephisto, I felt exactly the same way Alex did!!! Your Tao passage was very enlightening and really lit up the thread briefly. Unfortunately the discussion soon drifted onto other things, and I did not get a chance to comment, either. Thank you for posting it!!!
Mephisto, I have been so busy I have not had a chance to read anything gossipy and interesting. I am a little confused about confidentiality rules once someone is dead. I remember other famous personages' therapists quickly coming forward, and was shocked at the perceived breach, but assumed this must be legal if licensed professionals were doing it.
My garden is blooming, the weather is still quite hot, and my daughter turned fourteen yesterday. The party this year will involve boys, and dancing. When she was younger, older mothers told me it would all go by very quickly, and while I heard what they were saying, somehow I could not really totally understand. But her childhood, and my life, now seem to be flying by at supersonic speeds. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that I am in the second half of my life. The first half seem to go by interminably slowly.
