Great story. I didn't know of Borlaugh, but the story doesn't surprise me. It's strange that people would criticize a contribution that saved so many lives but didn't follow conventional wisdom. Happens over and over again, doesn't it? Anyone who lives to be 95 dies of the complications of LIFE. I hope it did not lead to his suffering.
