Knight Capital Group reports August 2009 volume statistics (NITE): Co reports that average daily dollar value traded in August 2009 was $24.2 bln, up approximately 7.7 percent from $22.5 bln in July 2009 and up approximately 53.1 percent from $15.8 bln in August 2008. Average daily U.S. equity trade volume in August 2009 was 4.0 mln, up approximately 5.4 percent from 3.8 mln in July 2009, and up approximately 99.5 percent from 2.0 mln in August 2008.
