That is so bearish (for the economy) it's scary. I'll never forget his previous whoppers, like there was no housing bubble or credit bubble, and especially in 2006 and 2007 when he said repeatedly that the "term structure of the crude oil futures curve suggests oil will be dropping in the future. (the curve was saying no such thing, and we know what happened with oil).
