Of course, what we're talking about here is NOT a public option in addition to private insurance, because the public option obviously will end up being the single payer given enough time.

Not obviously, in fact not likely. But a convenient way to argue against something... "that it will certainly turn into something else".

You do know that at least in the House plan, maybe the others, the public option is limited to 10% of the marketplace?
