Even after a infilling of Holy Spirit you have to let the Spirit have
your tongue to pray in a heavenly prayer lanugage.
The Spirit is so gentle. He doesn't force anything as a general rule
and especially not salvation or tongues.
I didn't pray in tongues either when I got it...but on the way home
from church I ask God why not. He said that I was too reserved and
traditional in my background. I was brought up Episcople for 25 yrs prior. I not infering that this is your case or anybodies case.
It was my circumstance.
I told God that I wanted to pray in tongues and I had a presentation
in front of Vp's tomorrow and I didn't care what people think. He could let it explode in tongues at work in that presentation. I didn't care. I only wanted the prayer language.
I guess God knew I meant it so He didn't let it happen in the presentation. He let it happen in bed that night.
The point is I ask God why. He answered and with my response He knew
I was serious. Of course God hears the heart not just the mouth.
You never indicated after years if you were able to pray in tongues.
It isn't something that you learn or can be taught. You have to let
the Holy Spirit have your tongue. You can't speak english and force
mouth shut.
I can relate to your car experience. Right after I was infilled .
Within days. I was in my car praising God and the worship was so
good and there was a light. Then as I tembled a demon came out of me
while I was driving my car.
Boy if that doesn't shake religious trees I don't know what will.
