"you were taking the passage out of context and twisting the meaning for your own purpose"

Nothing was taken out of context. The passage shows that god indeed DOES torment and torture and has no compassion. It shows that even the man condemned to eternal suffering and mockery and torture had a compassionate heart and wished to HELP those still living to avoid his fate through EDUCATION. But he was refused summarily and curtly with the smart-alecky response that boils down to: they can read the Old Testament.

And why is it to be doubted that you would snicker when you clearly support the callous attitude and treatment being meted out to the poor soul who was denied even his compassion and love for others?

Again, to translate this attitude into modern times; the 100,000 people who die every day without having read the old testament are going to receive their "chance" through Moses and the Prophets...HOW??? Moses had a speech impediment. How in Hell do you think he is going to speed educate 100,000 people a day--especially young kids who are notorious for a short attention span.???
