I have known many Indians in school and in real life. Most are here to get a better life for themselves and their children. If the prospects of a better life are here they will stay. If government becomes too onerous they will leave.

What you may fail to understand is that most of them come from business owning families in India. Getting a start in India would not take much for most of them.

Remember the fact that they set a goal of immigrating and then did it indicates they are both highly mobile and highly motivated. The highly motivated type of person may be difficult for most democrats to understand.
