Read an article over the weekend about the largest fleet in the world -- a ghost fleet of literally hundreds of empty cargo ships anchored near Singapore... larger than the US and British navies combined... all sitting empty... The pt. of the article (I'll see if I can find it online with the creepy pics) is that this is the time of year that those ships should/would normally be full of Christmas stuff headed for the US and Europe and that it is almost too late now to get stuff from Asia shipped to the US or Europe in time to be distributed and stocked for Christmas season... the implication being that this might be a not-so-merry Christmas in the West.
