Those...are just as wrong today as they were in '95. The little people now have to fuel their 401(k)s, and many employees are getting stock options as bonuses and salary increases rather than cash. It's not that the little people are not also motivated by fear and greed. It's that they're locked into the market and they can't afford to be scared off by the doomsayings of the brokers and "famous" investors. We're still going to have the equivalent of "Blue Monday." But, now, few will cut and run. They know that the markets always recover, and that even after '29 (much less '87) grass didn't start growing in the streets.
