Copied from SH:
So who are the retail investors in VRS? At an all staff meeting a while ago, Mr Luxton reportedly bragged to employees about having bought another half million shares. On the basis of that news, many employees invested significant amounts of their own money into the stock, believing that it had a future and that senior management was acting in the best interests of the shareholders. Many of these employees then encouraged friends, family, colleagues and ironically, VRS customers, to buy in. These customers are in positions of influence and are decision makers on new procurements. Customers who kept VRS afloat during lean times. Customers working in EOD/UXO and CBRNE communities that are very small and well connected. So now they expect these customers who have been burned financially to remain loyal to the new company? They expect that these employees who lost money will now be highly motivated and will help turn the company around? Just wondering.
