"You willfully ignore the qualifiers ("IF" they do not....(Then) they will not) to twist the passage out of context. But you already knew that and so does everyone else."

After indulging in your childish and completely irrelevant rant you close with another bizarre misdirection. Nobody knows what in Hell you are talking about. You were challenged to respond to the biblical message in Luke which comes across colder than a whore's heart. Instead you go off on a schizophrenic ramble through some stinky caves where nobody can follow you.

Abraham tells him "They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'". But the poor suffering soul presses on and says: "but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent." But Abraham ignores this and says: "If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead."

Now my point was absolutely clear: IF PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LISTEN TO MOSES, THEN THE QUESTION OF WHETHER OR NOT THEY MIGHT INTERNALIZE HIS MESSAGE IS UNANSWERED. THE "IF" IS A DEAD SET AND A NON CHOICE.

IT IS LIKE ME BEGGING YOU TO STOP THE CAR CARRYING MY WIFE AND KIDS TO LET THEM KNOW THE BRIDGE IS OUT AND YOU GIVING ME A SNARKY, FLIPPANT RESPONSE. "IF THEY DID NOT LISTEN TO SAM WHO ONCE WROTE A BOOK SAYING THE BRIDGE WAS DEFECTIVE THEN THEY WON'T LISTEN TO ME."

So if you won't have any compassion for the people approaching the bridge, then how in the Hell is Sam supposed to return from the dead to warn them or how is Sam's writing supposed to warn the 100,000 people who die each day on Earth never having heard of Sam? THAT was the question I asked you with a gentle nudge in your ribs in order to demonstrate how flippant and stupid Abraham's response was. And nothing in the passage denies the original suggestion that people in heaven can participate in enjoying (in the supercilious, self righteous, and pitiless tone of Abraham) the agony and suffering of those going to Hell. If Abraham is not rejoicing he is certainly not displaying any feeling or compassion. The fact that you believe that such eternal torture is just and good because it flows from God leads me to question whether (given the opportunity) you would not cheer the pitiful procession of damned souls?? Is there some reason why you would not, given that their fate is Perfectly Just and perfectly Good??????

Your tone on this thread is certainly haughty and self righteous enough; So how would YOU address the suffering man on his way into Hell when he begged you to show compassion to his loved ones and to warn them the bridge was out? Would you chuckle and say: "If they won't listen to Sam they won't listen to me..."?? How would your response compare to that of Abraham--MAN OF GOD???
