Here's a press release showing NASA has selected MegaDrive for RAID storage. biz.yahoo.com Their systems seem comparable in performance to CPCI's but more flexible in configuring large arrays using different RAID levels. The press release indicates that price was the deciding factor and if you visit the MegaDrive home page you'll see that they are committed to delivering RAID at low prices. I don't have any sense of what their annual sales are but their arrays appear attractive. Funny that they can't publish a web site with readable colours (couldn't help it). The NASA installation doesn't look like CPCI's market to me, but the info on the MegaDrive page suggest they would be competing for other contracts. Stuart.
