Reporting from Moscow - The United States is expected to confirm later today that it will scrap controversial plans for U.S. missile defense installations in Poland and the Czech Republic.

The Czech Prime Minister told reporters today that U.S. President Obama had called him to warn him of the change in American plans.

The decision will reverberate loudly in Russia, where the Kremlin had viewed the planned installations as a threatening encroachment of U.S. military might near its border ? and a major sticking point in the Obama administration's efforts to "reset" badly soured U.S.-Russia relations.

The U.S. move is also sure to send a chill through Central Europe, where Western-leaning leaders have fretted publicly about whether the Obama administration will distance itself in eagerness to patch up ties with Russia.

---------------

Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu makes a secret trip to Russia,
and now Obama throws Russia a huge bone... the one concession
at the very top of Russia's wish list.

Now ask yourself, if Russia was just given the number one
concession atop their wish list, what did Israel & the US
just get in return?
