The new health care proposal out of the finance committee looks like it was written by former Senator Frist. It addresses NONE of the problems of the health care system and increases costs to the benefit of the crooked insurers. Though I want real health care reform, this Frankenstein version of a bill should be DOA.

And, this time, I blame the Democrats. Yes, Republicrook lies scared a lot of weak-kneed Americans, but nobody has been weaker-kneed than the Congress. Without cost control and a public option, there is basically no reform. Throw lots of money at the insurers and hope they solve the problem is the model we used for bailing out the financial system. It is a flawed plan to keep giving the weasels the key to the hen house.
