Jim,

I don't know how old you are, but your eyes might be telling you something. :-)

Maybe you ought to try 'computer' glasses - glasses with a slight amount of magnification that help your eyes focus at the monitor's distance from you. That can help a lot.

I'm 69, so I'm well into bifocals for handheld book reading, but bifocals don't work for me at monitor distances (I have to lean in and tilt my head back to look through the magnification - causes major cricks in the neck), and neither does my far sight, which is fine at distance. So I got the optometrist to measure me for monitor distance and got a pair of glasses just for that so I can sit back and read it. If your eyes are generally good, you might want to pick-up slight magnification glasses at your local supermarket or drug store. They're pretty cheap, $10 or so, and +1.50 to +1.75 magnification ought to do it.

Jeff
